Mayor of Ephrata Borough

Rumina Feyerherm is a longtime resident of Ephrata Borough, a local business owner, and a proud immigrant from East Africa. She came to the United States as a child, and has since built a life in Ephrata alongside her husband.  She operates  a salon in the borough that has become a familiar and trusted part of the community. Rumina has experienced the American dream firsthand — growing up in a new country, working hard, and creating a successful business rooted in connection and service. She is running for Mayor because she loves Ephrata and believes residents deserve a leader who will truly listen and bring their concerns to the Borough Council.

If elected, Rumina will focus on the everyday challenges Ephrata residents face — like the rising cost of utilities, the need for more affordable housing, and bringing a new vision to Main Street. She knows this community well and understands what matters most to the people who live here. With a deep commitment to listening, transparency, and practical problem-solving, Rumina is ready to serve and advocate for ALL of Ephrata.
