Craven
School Director – Ephrata Area School District
Pastor Timothy Craven grew up in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Penn State University in 1974 with a degree in Creative Writing and a minor in History. He spent nearly a decade performing American folk, bluegrass, and old-time music across the country, and continues to share his love of music in church and the community. After graduating from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 1987, he became the pastor of Mellinger’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he has faithfully served ever since.
Pastor Craven is running for Ephrata Area School Board to advocate for an education system rooted in fairness, support, and opportunity. He believes in protecting every student's right to an unbiased learning environment and expanding access to critical mental health resources. Throughout his time in Lancaster County, he has served on the boards of LutherCare, Ephrata Area Social Services, the Lutheran Camping Corporation of Central Pennsylvania, and previously on the Ephrata School Board.
